Helping families find their footing, one document at a time
kinfoldgag was founded to offer something quietly useful — a calm, knowledgeable space for families in Phuket navigating the practical side of shared arrangements.
Back to HomeWhere kinfoldgag began
kinfoldgag grew from a straightforward observation: many families in Phuket — local families, long-term residents, and mixed households alike — find themselves holding a pile of important documents with very little idea of how to order them, or who to speak to next.
Our founders saw people putting off conversations about arrangements, inheritances, property records, and shared responsibilities simply because the paperwork felt overwhelming and the right starting point was unclear. kinfoldgag was created to sit alongside families in those moments — not to take over, but to help clear the fog.
We opened our doors in Kathu in 2019, and since then we have helped hundreds of families approach these practical matters with more confidence. We are careful to stay within our lane: educational, organisational, and communicative support only. For anything that requires a licensed professional, we point you clearly in the right direction.
Our Mission
To make family document organisation and communication genuinely accessible — without jargon, without pressure, and with full respect for each family's own decisions and timelines.
Our Values
- Kindness first. Families come to us at sensitive moments. We treat every conversation with care.
- Clarity over complexity. We explain things in plain language and never hide behind professional jargon.
- Your autonomy, always. You make the decisions. We organise information; we never direct outcomes.
- Honest about our limits. Where matters require a lawyer, government official, or other professional, we say so clearly and point you there.

Privacy by design
Nothing shared in our sessions is passed on to third parties. We collect only what is needed for session delivery.
Scope discipline
We never stray into legal advice or representation. When a matter requires a licensed professional, we say so directly and help you find the right one.
Neutral facilitation
Our facilitators do not take sides in family conversations. We create space for all voices to be heard calmly.
Document integrity
We never retain, copy, or submit documents on your behalf. All records remain entirely under your own control.
Resource accuracy
Our signposting directories are reviewed regularly so families receive current and accurate contact information for official bodies.
Sensitivity awareness
Our team follows ongoing professional development in working sensitively with families navigating difficult personal circumstances.
Family document support in Phuket — what kinfoldgag actually does
Many families reach a point where a drawer full of papers — copies of identification documents, property records, insurance certificates, household registrations, or correspondence from government offices — becomes an obstacle rather than a resource. kinfoldgag exists to help families move past that obstacle by working through the pile together, building a clear personal system, and identifying what each document actually is and where it should be kept.
We work with Thai families, expatriate households, and mixed families throughout Phuket province. Our English-language sessions can incorporate Thai-language materials for families where both languages are in daily use. We are based in Kathu and can accommodate sessions there or, by arrangement, at suitable locations nearby.
Where families also want to talk through shared arrangements — property that is co-owned, responsibilities that are shared, or preparations that family members need to understand — our Family Conversation Support sessions offer a calm, neutral environment for those discussions. We do not mediate in a legal sense and we do not make or record formal agreements. What we do is help everyone in the room feel heard and help the conversation move forward constructively.
For families who want a comprehensive starting point, the Learn, Organise & Signpost Package brings document organisation, plain-language process overviews, and a personalised resource directory together into a structured programme. At the end of the programme, families have a clearer picture of what they have, what it means, and where they can go for each type of official matter that may follow.
